Up to 20 times a month, you can send a picture of a receipt for a purchase you have made. It can be a receipt from a gas station, a grocery store, a department store, a convenience store or a restaurant.

Big brands need information on how their products are displayed in stores and enter into contracts with Field Agent to get the money from people like you.

Target, Tyson and a number of other major brands are currently using the app.

8. Easy Shift

Companies use Easy Shift to find out how their products sell at retailers across the United States and use this information to determine whether or not to sell their products in certain stores.

12. Apptrailers

AppTrailers can put a bad taste in your mouth if you are hard on advertising, but it’s great for everyone else.

The concept is simple: watch video trailers for upcoming apps and earn points by doing so. That’s all. What’s cool is that you can even find a bunch of useful apps that you may not have found otherwise.

Not only do you get paid, but you can enhance your smartphone with new tools and games.

Points can be redeemed for gift cards to Amazon, Walmart, Sephora, iTunes and more.

13. Ipoll

IPoll is another survey survey app, in addition to wanting you to provide your opinions and feedback on products and services you are already using.

Your thoughts are unique, and that’s what you get paid for.

IPoll also consists of so-called assignments. An assignment can be to visit a store, take a photo or even test a product. By filling in these, your credits will be net, just like when you fill in surveys.

Expect to earn about $ 5 to $ 10 per month.

Payouts may take a while – some have reported up to six weeks – but if you can bear it, this is a great app to use.

14. Foap

Foap is one of many ways you can make money with smartphone photography How to make money on your smartphone photography Thanks to the large number of apps and archive photography sites, it is easier than ever to sell your photos for a little extra money.

Read more. Photos are uploaded and sold on the Foap Market, where companies and individuals can choose to buy your photos if they are good enough.

Photos sell for $ 10 each and you get half the price. The other half goes to Foap to facilitate sales.

The good news is that each photo can sell an unlimited number of times and there is no limit to how many photos you can upload.

15. Grabpoints

If you want an all-in-one app to make money on your phone, GrabPoints may be the one for you.

It has all kinds of activities: watching videos, filling out surveys, downloading apps, trying out certain products and services, etc.

I personally am not a fan of these all-in-one offers because I prefer to use an app that is optimized for a particular activity, as they tend to be more rewarding, but that does not mean that GrabPoints are bad.

Many say a lot about it. Gift cards are available for Amazon, Target, Starbucks, Google Play Store, iTunes, Steam and more.

16. Checkpoints

Checkpoints is another all-in-one app, except that it prioritizes object search.

The other activities – watching videos, downloading apps, playing games – are there for times when you can’t scan items.

The app shows you a lot of products and you get to choose which one you want to scan. When shopping, check CheckPoints to see if there is anyone you can scan nearby.

Every time you do, you get points. Points can be redeemed for gift cards (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) as well as miles for American Airlines and also physical prizes such as game consoles and tablets.

Remember, these apps are just tips, it will probably take a while to just earn very little:

17. Swagbucks

By using the search engine on you can get paid for the surfing time you already spend.

You may not think you’re that much online, but you probably are.

On average, we spend over 4 hours online every day! And this will be added quickly during the week.

18. Rewardable

Rewardable is an app for market research type, except that this compensates you for giving feedback on a particular store or service.

The app provides a list of related tasks that you can select and complete.

The tasks are completed with your phone. Examples of tasks include recording times in a restaurant, photographing a campaign in the store or counting the number of items on a shelf.

When you set up points, you get access to more lucrative information.

Expect to earn anywhere from $ 1 to $ 20 per task, one of which can take about 10 to 30 minutes.

19. Survey on the Go

Surveys on the go is exactly what it sounds like: so often you will be notified that you are eligible to take a survey, and if you fill it out to your satisfaction, you will be paid for it.

Surveys only take a few minutes each.

You earn a few dollars per survey, but do not expect to get rich because users only get a handful of surveys per month on average.

Still, it is a painless way to make some extra money and fits nicely when you are waiting at the doctor’s office or commuting on the train.

20. Slidejoy

Slidejoy may or may not make your skin crawl. Here’s how it works: After installation, Slidejoy replaces your lock screen with a news article or product advertisement. With one swipe, you can skip it, learn more about it, or move to another object.

The thing with Slidejoy is that you do not actually have to tap anything, fill in anything or otherwise do anything to make money.

Your payment is not based on your commitment to the said ads.

That’s nice, at least. You can expect to earn about $ 5 per month, depending on how often you use the phone.

Not much, I know, but it takes no effort! Unfortunately, it is only available to Android users.

Which smartphone app do I recommend to use in South Africa?

Now if you have tried some of these apps then you probably want to pull your hair out because of how annoying they are.

But if had to recommend an app then I would probably recommend the Youtube app. It’s fun, it dosent take nearly as long to make a 5 minute youtube video than it is to take an 18 minute survey on Swagbucks.

And if you make a viral video you can be making income for years to come, passivly as well.

As you can see, there are many ways to make extra money or two.

These apps may not offer too much individually, but there is no reason why you can not combine several of them together.

The monthly income can supplement if you do. For example, Slidejoy and Receipt Hog do not require much effort and can net a cool $ 10 per month.

A few surveys on the go can double that, and Viggle can let you earn some gift cards just by watching TV.

So is it possible to become a millionaire with your smartphone? You may not earn millions exactly, but you can actually make money that complements your income so that you can live more comfortably.

Also, check out this video on Youtube I found (and it took a while to find a genuine video on this by the way) that is probably the most authentic video out there on this topic. Because you probably know by now of scammy some of these apps can be.

Hope you enjoy, and I hope I have been helpful, good luck!
