According to data gathered from a Youtuber called “Start Starting Up”, who have watched 36 of the most recent Youtube earning reavel videos in 2021. And from that data he concluded that in 2021, per 1,000 views, Youtubers are receiving 7.56 dollars per 1,000 views.
That is pretty mind-blowing because it´s believed that the average you can actually expect to earn on Youtube is between 1-3 dollars per 1,000 views.
That is what the Youtuber “Start Starting Up” has said in his previous videos in 2018 and 2019. But he goes on by saying that it is genuine data that he has got from Youtubers in 2021.
That shows you that you can be looking to make 7 dollars and 56 cents for each 1,000 views you get this year.

2. How to make money on YouTube: The 5 main ways
1. Become a sponsor or work with other brands
As your channel grows and you have more subscribers, you may be contacted by different brands that ask you to show their products to your audience.
This is a great way to make money on YouTube, because all you need to do is spend a minute showing off products you love in your videos.
Sponsors usually pay a fixed fee for advertising per video and give you a special link so that if someone actually buys a product from them, you also get an extra commission.
It’s a great way to make money on YouTube.
Related to this is affiliate marketing.
Here you do not need a sponsor, but instead you only show a product or service that pays a commission if a viewer clicks or buys something.

3. Sell products or goods
If you want to know how to make money on YouTube, it’s a good idea to think about selling your own products or merchandise.
YouTubers make a lot of money doing this and for most people, this is their main source of income.
As you grow the channel, you begin to see what your target audience actually wants combined with what you want to create yourself.
You can then create your own website where you will host your products and send your viewers there to buy them.
Like Pewdiepies merch for example.
4. Use platforms where fans make donations to support your channel
When researching how to make money on YouTube, look at so-called “fan-funding platforms” like Patreon.
With these platforms, your viewers can sign up to donate to you regularly (they are then called Patreons).
5. Use crowdfunding platforms to fund your channel
Crowdfunding platforms are websites like Kickstarter or Indiegogo where anyone can view a project they are trying to create, and people from all over the world will “buy in” to the project to support them.
The best thing about these sites is that you do not actually have to create your project until you get funding, so people pay you to do what you want!
These are great sites to help you make money on YouTube.
How to promote your videos without being to needy
You might be weary of the word “promote” promoting only shows your viewers why they need something and helps them reach the point where they want to say “YES!”
If you want to know how to make money on YouTube, you need to learn how to sell well and get people interested, excited and willing to buy from you.
1. Call to action
You should always encourage the viewer to take action regarding what you are trying to sell.
So, for example, if you have a Kickstarter campaign, ask them to go and click on the link you have.
Also be sure to have a graphic call to action at the end of all videos such as subscribing and in the titles. You can also use watermarks to get them to subscribe.
2. Use your video description for additional call-to-action
Your video description is not only a place to quickly describe what your video is about, it is also a good place to ask viewers to perform more actions, check out products or sign up for your mailing list.

Be sure to change to the year date in the titles even if you published the videos several years ago.
I recommend that you try a few different styles and see what your viewers like best.

Do Youtubers pay tax?
So by now you probably think that being a youtuber is great, right? But if I am going to be 100% transparent with you then I am going to explain a minor detail that people dont talk about.
When you work at a regular 9 to 5 job (in the US, same probably applies in your country) then you get a paycheck.
In that paycheck they tell you how much money you made and then they take a specific amount away for tax.
You dont get that with Youtube.
And that is great, you dont have to pay taxes, right?
Actually, no that is not the case at all. It works like this: on Youtube the adsense revenue isnt taxed yet which means that at the end of the year when you´re filing your taxes you DO have to pay.
The difference is just when you are working for someone you pay much lower taxes. But…now that you are tecnically a “self-employed-Youtuber” you pay a whole 15.3% of your Youtube income.
But this is just in the US but I wouldnt be surprised if similar taxes applied all over.
Now I will show you a video, a very real video. Probably one of the most authentic Youtube videos out there on the topic of how much youtubers make.
A lot of people actually dont know how much you can make from a certain number of views or subcribers.
Every youtuber earns different amounts of revenue.
