Many companies start on a small scale, and often start earning their first money from home.
You may not have developed that perfect business idea that takes over the world yet, but still want to start your own business? Then this article is for you.
Start by asking yourself the question: What are you good at? What do you think is fun?
If you find an activity with the two common denominators, the probability is high that you can also make a living! You might like to write texts, follow the stock market, test products or something else.
If you need a little help along the way, here I share our 27 tips on things that allow you to start making money online and other unorthodox tips on how to make money, so lets get started!
1. Invest in stocks and mutual funds
Do you know the world around you and have a sense for numbers? Then maybe you should take a closer look at investing in stocks and mutual funds!
Today, there are plenty of tools to help you get started quickly and easily at low cost. RobinHood is an example of that has made itself known for simple and educational systems.
2. Digitize family memories
Every family usually has not just one but lots of photo albums. If not own, then inherited.
Sure, it can be charming to browse a physical album, but times are changing and it’s hard to ignore the benefits of digitalization.
It takes up less space, is easier to organize and protects against, for example, fire, flood or other accident.
Buy equipment to scan high-quality photographs and offer your services to families who want to modernize their photo albums!
The family sends the album to you, you scan in and send it all back to a hard drive. Of course, this can just as easily be applied to important documents or old videotapes.
3. Have a technology school for the elderly
Are you yourself a diligent user of computers, mobiles and tablets? Then you most likely have greater digital knowledge than the elderly in your vicinity.
You may not have to charge to help your neighbor dial a phone number. If, on the other hand, you are going to spend an afternoon teaching someone you do not know very well how a tablet works, then it can suddenly become a business opportunity.
Today, more than 5 million Americans feel that they live in a digital exclusion and some of them are certainly prepared to make an investment in their digital future. Not everyone has children or grandchildren to ask.
Psst! Just do not forget that your target audience is probably not reached through online ads. Post notes with your phone number at your local grocery store instead. It does not have to be harder than that!
4. Help with homework
In recent years, more and more opportunities to get homework help have appeared in America
Those who do the work are often students or teachers who spend their free time helping children and young people reach their goals.
There are both commercial companies and non-profit organizations that offer homework help. It can be done at the student’s home, in the school premises or of course – via the internet.
If you are interested in language, mathematics, science or any other school subject, you can combine benefit with fun to help students develop their knowledge!
There are many parents, who are either too stressed or who do not have the knowledge themselves, who may consider investing in their children’s future.
5. Personal trainer in the living room
Exercise is important for human well-being. It is nevertheless easy to get stuck at the desk – or on the sofa for that matter.
A digital personal trainer would shorten the distance considerably for many stressed individuals who do not want, can or can get to the gym.
If all that is required is to make a video call at a specific time, there is no excuse for not putting on your training clothes and running a workout on the living room floor. Why not offer both individual and group training?
You yourself are probably interested in training and can therefore guarantee to convey inspiration and motivation as well via the screen as in a physical training session.
6. Develop other people
You may be a retired business leader, an injured elite athlete or an ex-politician. Why not develop others?
Your personal experience weighs heavily – and you can use it to help others get better. Coaching is mainly about setting goals, encouraging action and asking questions.
The focus here is on seeing the opportunities and identifying the challenges. It hardly matters if the meeting takes place physically or digitally – as long as you enter the role with confidence!
Here you are suggested to be paid per hour, and the price picture of course depends on how well-known you are in the context and how long experience you have.

In today’s consumer society, it is the rule rather than the exception that people buy new phones before the old ones have even broken.

How many of all the gadgets you have at home do you use daily? Or even every week? Or month? Instead of letting them lie and collecting dust, you can rent them out!

Are you interested in photography? Whether you are an amateur or a professional, you have the chance to make money on your interest.
Many large photo agencies, including Shutterstock, iStock and Adobe Stock, allow you to submit your photos. If your photos are published, they will be searchable for all members and you will then be paid every time someone buys one of your photos.
A tip is to search around the pages yourself and try to find different types of images. If there is no material about, for example, a church in your vacinity, it can be a good idea to go there and snap some pictures – because suddenly someone needs just that picture.
The pictures are often used as genre pictures in newspaper articles or advertising contexts! Several of the photo agencies also accept film and video clips.
